Hangin' out at Hanamaruken | They've Got NEW Dishes!

When craving for Japanese, you might want to try the latest fro Hanamaruken. They currently four tasty dishes and two sweet-filled desserts that will sate those cravings. Personally, I find Japanese cuisine easiest to write about because the flavor are simple yet impactful. I have never met someone who didn't Japanese food. There is always something for someone in this cuisine.

Exactly what the new Hanamaruken is all about.

Ebi Ramen, P580

We start off with ramen as always. It seems that Ramen has taken over the metro. And the Hanamaruken Ebi Ramen did not disappoint. The pan-seared tiger prawns that comes in three's matches the rich and creamy broth. Compared to a chasu ramen, this one feels a little more upscale for me. The broth though creamy is not overly done. Tamago will always cut the cake for me when it comes to Ramen and Hanamaruken's is one of my favorite.

Bacon, Tomato and Egg Soba, P350

The flavors packed in this dish makes up for it's simplicity. Soba noodles with slow-cooked tomatoes and house tare are paired well with thick-cut smply bacon and poached egg. Tip: Mix and Eat is while its hot! The umami taste of the bacon goes really well with the smooth texture of the soba noodles coated in poached egg. I had this dish and it's glorious!

Hiyasji Ebi with Soy Sesame Dressing, P380

Cold noodles may be an acquired taste but when with tiger prawns and cucumber with soy yuzu sauce, this spells refreshing in so many levels! Exactly what you want in this crazy humid weather. Again, I love the simplicity of this dish because the flavors speak for themselves.

Double-Egg Oyakodon, P290

I admit I'm not a big fan of Oyakodon. I don't particularly like thick noodles (sue me!). But based on the empty bowls of bloggers who chose this dish, I'd say that diced chicken simmered in sweet savory sauce  and soft-cooked egg AND topped with sous vide egg was satisfying. I would choose this over the ramen if I'm really really really hungry.

I came for the desserts and the lava cakes in Matcha and Choco are divine! So rich, I'd consider a piece is good for two! Go for the Matcha! And they are only P180 each.

We loved these lights up on one of the sought-after table in Hanamaruken, The Grove Rockwell.

I love it here.

Thinking again about the feat we ate. I love this life. Hihihi!
