Green Beauty | Ilia Lip Conditioner in Bang Bang and Blossom Lady

Have your ever considered switching to organic makeup? It's been something that I've been toying at the back of my head for awhile now. Since becoming more conscious with what I eat, looking into brands with a less chemicals has been an appeal lately. Then my friend, Kim, introduced me to Ilia Beauty. Ilia is a very popular green beauty brand with features from Vogue, Elle and InStyle. With over a few years under its belt, Ilia has made a mark on many makeup lovers because of high performance and using only certified organic ingredients.

Kim sent over these Lip Conditioners for me to try, Bang Bang and Blossom.

Both are 100% Natural Dye and 85% Organic.

Looking at the ingredient list, I was pleased to see none of the synthetic ingredients, metals and parabens I was used to seeing in other lip products.

Ilia Beauty is a luxe green beauty brand with aesthetics that are clearly well-thought out. This is not your backyard/kitchen-made organic cosmetics. People behind the brand understands that we want more from our makeup. I definitely appreciate the muted silvery-grey casing of the lip conditioner which I learned are used from recycled aluminum. The case feels good and smooth in palm and the tube closes with a satisfying click.

The consistensy of both also shows that Ilia didn't scrimp on quality. Given that it's a lip conditioner and almost like a balm, Ilia stands out because it doesn't look like one. The pigment shows well (sheer but visible enough for the shade to come out) and the product doesn't bend even when applied with pressure. These are the things that I look for when I review makeup. They specifically formulated these lip conditioner to have the texture, the strength of a lipstick but a glide of that of a balm. It didn't feel waxy or glossy when applied.

When it comes to lip conditioner, I like them in pink, subtle and easy to wear. I like taking this with me anywhere. I even use this to help hydrate my lips when it's being abused by those liquid matte lip products.

Bang Bang | a sheer classic red

I love me a good red lipstick and this one is very forgiving. You should see the photos below of my little Claud using it. It's totally charming! If your lips ever feels dry from all the mattes you've been using, give it a rest and load up on Bang Bang.

The best thing about Ilia Beauty is I get to share it with Claud, my three-year old toddler. She's been really interested in using makeup and I feel secured when she uses this. I know it's an expensive brand but when it comes to your child, price is the least important.
