I still can't believe that I'm a mom.. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and still have to remind myself that I have a little girl needing to be fed. :) It's so surreal, a journey that I didn't know could be so beautiful. Being a mom both elates and grounds you. You suddenly feel so vulnerable and superhuman at the same time. But most of all, all you want to do is do your best and give your best for your child.

One of those days that I felt incredibly scared was when I had to give Claud a bath. It was daunting! It took me, the husband, and our helper to bath such a small human. It was frightening! But a task that needed to be accomplished. Thankfully, I have conquered that feat easily after a week and I actually look forward to our morning of bathing.

Claud hates being wet, she expresses it by wailing at the top of her lungs. I don't mind that since she's not fussy outside of the bath. Still, I keep her baths short and sweet. Everything in this box smells divine! As a new mom, I try to find safer and a natural alternative when it comes to my baby. I think it's a natural course for new moms to be very cautious when it comes to her new born. One of the reasons I started using this kit is because of my baby's infantile acne. Remnants of my hormones still lingers in my baby that causes such along with rashes that are caused by perspiration from heat. I wanted a natural anti-bacterial product to help me out without overwhelming my baby's sensitive skin. And honey is a great anti-bacterial product, very much natural at that.

Our bath starts with the Burt's Bees Shampoo and Wash. It contains oats and sunflower oil that calms the skin. It's tear-free, definitely gentle on my baby's eyes. It effectively cleans away my baby's skin and leaves it soft and supple.

After her bath, I use a little dallop of the Burt's Bees Nourishing Original Lotion. Oh this smells really nice and lasts too. I indulge my baby with a massage using this lotion almost every day. At night, when she feels fussy and gassy, I use Burt's Bees Nourishing Oil for massage to ease her out of her discomfort.

Oh and how I love the Burt's Bees Diaper Ointment! It smells oh-so wonderful! It has zinc oxide, beeswax. lavender, jojoba and sweet almond. A medley of natural and gentle ingredients that really works at healing, calming and preventing diaper rashes. A concoction that I love spreading all over my baby Claud tiny and delicate bum.

I haven't used the soap yet. I think I'll hold this one til baby Claud is big enough to hold and play with it. Wouldn't that be cute? A cute little kid washing herself with an equally cute soap? :)
