It's a happy Monday! :)

I'm now officially married to the man I've been with for more than eight loving years!

Of course, I'm going to share a few photos from our civil wedding last January 23, 2014. :) It's not a formal occasion. We didn't have a lavish event, no professional photographer, hair and makeup artist, entourage, etc. We had the ceremony at the Hall of Justice and our reception at Yangchow Restaurant. It was in all essence, the simplest of weddings.

What we had were lots of joy, anticipation, family and friends who were there to support us from day one. Husband and I were lucky to have friends who didn't need to be asked to take photos of the ceremony and reception. My cousin helped me pick out the menu for our lunch and made sure that I stuck with our budget, which we did.

As you all know, I'm not a fan of expensive clothing so my dress did not carry a designer label. My shoes, I already them in my closet. Most of the jewelries I wore were gifts from the hubby and my mom. Even the bouquet were sourced well for us to get a good price. I designed, printed and cut out our invitations. I did my own hair and makeup...  :)

And I enjoyed every bit of it. Everyone whom we want to share this special moment with came and celebrated with us. It was exactly how I imagined it will be. Sweet, intimate, loads of laughter and barely no stress at all. Everybody were on time, the food was great, and best of all, I was there with the man that I want to spend the rest of my life with.

I've always wanted the Carrie-Big wedding at the end of Sex and The City 2. Her friends came to the city hall and they had a breakfast after. And R and I were able to achieve that without even realizing it. I didn't want to get lost into the details. And I didn't... :)

Everything went right that day. Just as I hoped it would be... :)

If you're planning to get married anytime soon, either civil or at the church, make sure that everyone important to you supports this decision. It made a lot of difference to have our family and friends help us along the way. From our friends in real life, to brands who support my blog and family who gave us their blessings. Not only will they help you with the planning and execution but they will also impart great advises for your marriage.

It's also important to have an open communication with your partner. You two are different persons and may like different things, along with the budget, it's vital to know what each are thinking. Your fiance will gladly give you what you want but he would appreciate it if you both agree with every decision you make for this special celebration. :)

Most of all, don't get frustrated! Don't get lost into the planning that you forget why you're getting married in the first place. :) you don't need to have every hair in place.. enjoy the moment that will make you his wife! :)
