Benefit b.right! Radiant Skincare | Triple Performing Facial Emulsion
I find it easy to fall in love with makeup. As long as its pigmented, long-lasting plus comes in a cute packaging to boot, you've got me. But when it comes to skincare, I can be all sorts of skeptical. Show me a moisturizer, I'd be putting my hand up and say "No, thank you."
Not this time. I've been hearing good stuff about Benefit's b.right! Radiant Skincare. And though the reviews I've read are raved in a country not too close to any tropical ones, I jumped and finally put aside all hesitation and try one from the B.Right! line.
Hello, Triple Performing Facial Emulsion (Sheer Oil-Free Facial Lotion with SPF 15 PA++)! Welcome to this girl's complicated oily pimply life!
What made me try this out? Two words: Oil - Free! And that usually mean I'm on a safe zone.
The deets: It looks creamy on the first pump but surprisingly easily absorbed lightweight. It has a fragrant scent, sort of in between floral and powdery that is neither overwhelming or lingering. A nice plus since I'm easily annoyed with products that have strong scents. Maybe I'm still not on that phase.
What's the triple on the name all about? Great thing that Benefit.com answered that here:
- It hydrates the skin with the tri-radiance complex.
- It has sun protection of SPF15 PA++
- It's rich in antioxidant Vitamin E for added care.
Tri-radiance Complex is the hero of skincare. It's what makes this skin care line unique from others. Tri because it does three things:
"captures water on the skin’s surface, maintains water on the skin’s surface, and develops the skin’s reserves of water."
Scary if you're the oily type but the truth of the matter is (which many of us are in denial of) is that our skin needs moisture. As said on the box of this nifty little bottle,"You may not know you're dehydrated but your skin does."
Did you know that Benefit worked with LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy) to create the b.right Line?? How cool and fancy is that?
“The exclusive tri-radiance complex found in Benefit’s b.right! Radiant Skincare brightens skin and helps create a hydrating reservoir on the skin,” says Eric Perrier, Executive Vice President R & D at LVMH Parfums et Cosmetiques in Paris. “Benefit’s exclusive tri-radiance complex includes several vegetable-based sugar and glycol derivatives plus a perfectly selected set of different sizes of hyaluronic acid, to boosts hydration in the skin as much as 73 percent within two hours after application (measured in triple performing facial emulsion SPF 15 PA++), an incredible result in an SPF 15 PA++ emulsion!”
My skin: I relatively have combination skin and it's pretty worst on my T-Zone, I shine like a disco ball in the middle for the dance floor. But with this moisturizer, it looks as if I'm dewy instead of oily.
How I use it: I included this in my daytime routine after toning and before sunblock. Sporadically in the evening when I leave the house, I apply it before makeup and in my bedtime routine.
Period of trial: Nearly a month now.
Effects: Let me tell you first what didn't happen. I didn't break out. That's great news since there's only a few moisturizers that I trust with my skin. Trying new ones is something I don't do as often as I like for fear of the deathly cystic acnes.
Now on to the good effects. I notice my skin feels smoother and the dry part of my face. It doesn't also clog my pores and
Aesthetics: The packaging is pretty sassy, with it's vintage blue bottle and cork cover. You'd be surprise that this came with a pump! It surely feels like I've got this from an apothecary!
Recommendation: This makes a really nice moisturizer for daytime use for those with normal to combination skin. For those with extremely oily skin, use sparingly and only it parts where your face is dry. Dry skin will definitely love this moisturizer!
I say go for it if you think it wouldn't put a dent on your pocket. It's looks to be a great skincare line and I'm sure we're getting our money's worth given that Benefit has a great rep for creating cool and innovative products.
As for me, I'll definitely grab me another bottle if this ran out. I'm getting older. As much I think my skin still looks young, I'm sure it's not. And moisturizers (especially those with hyaluronic acid) is just exactly what I need.
