The Body Shop: Winter Trend Makeover and Gift Ideas for this Joyous Season
I visited The Body Shop last couple of weeks back to check out their latest Holiday 2011 offerings. From their holiday makeup collection and their famous gift packages. When I'm at The Body Shop, it always feel as if I'm a kid in a candy store. As passionate as I am with makeup, I never tire of seeing the trends no matter how similar it may be with each other every season.
Holiday makeup trend calls for cooler tones such as purples, blues, silvers and blacks. Most often, eyeshadows for Holiday or Fall usually consists of shimmery eye shadows as the season to imbibe a glowy look. Think snow, Christmas lights and starry skies. We kind of adapt the same concept of Christmas decors and festivities when it comes to makeup for this season.
The Body Shop frequently conducts makeup workshops and makeovers to give you an idea how to rock their makeup collection. This time, I got a makeover from Roma, Body Shop's training officer for cosmetics! She tried on the 4 Step Smokey Eyes in Golden Brown.
This season is such an ideal time to rock out a smokey golden bronze look as it compliments our yellow undertone. What's great is that, shades like this are also seen during spring and summer. Definitely gives this palette more mileage for you.

During holidays, The Body Shop also come up with fabulous gift sets in many wonderful choices that takes away a lot of stress for us ladies. This year, they have more in store in really look gift wraps and packaging. They also have a new addition to their Holiday Bath and Body Collections, Candied Ginger aside from their Spiced Vanilla and Cranberry Joy.
Michelle tried out the Silver Black Palette and we learned quite an ingenious trick from The Body Shop Makeup Artist, Issa. Mix the Radiant Highlighter and The Body Shop's best selling lip & cheek tint to give a luminious flush to your cheek. Michelle have a super smooth (ala Korean) type of skin and doing this trick adds dimension to her very fair skintone. Aside from that Nature Baked Bronzer in Warm Glow to define her cheekbones and jawline. Michelle is indeed ready to party for the Holidays.
Who was there? There was the lovely ladies of The Body Shop Danica, Jai-i, Nina and Issa.
Beauty bloggers pretty, too. Dawn with Elizabeth and Me with Helen.
After all, 'tis the season to Give Joy!
