Colour Collection Color Intense Lipstick SPF15 (w/ swatches, FOTDs, Comparisons)
How's everyone this Lent?
Do you have plans of going out of town or stay at home like me? I do welcome the time I could rest, sleep til noon and watch reruns of my favorite shows til my eyes fall out.

I will also take this time to diet. Yup! It's all yogurt for this girl starting today! I'm giving up Coke, Meat and Junk foods until Sunday.
But there's one thing I can never give up and I know God will understand, and that's my love and addiction to lipsticks.

When we met up with May, Krisca and Bianca Valerio for lunch a month ago, we were also introduced to some of the products that Colour Collection has in store.
Bianca who practically know the ins and outs of beauty raved about the lipstick collections from the said brand. Having tried a few from it, I can only nod my head and agree. She had all of us in a trance while she spoke of cosmetics!

One of the many things I learned from her though is that makeup need not cost you an arm and leg. I know how many times I tell you that we should look for quality first but often times we associate them immediately with high price tags.
That doesn't have to be the case at all times.
Take for example the Colour Collection Color Intense Lipstick with SPF 15.
It was love at first swatch. I was even raving already about them because of how nice they were just seeing them on the tube. You know my affinity and love for bright lipsticks! And they actually remind me of NYX round lipstick. Except that these ones are a bit more sophisticated in quality.
Although the packaging doesn't present all that much excitement on my part. I definitely dig what's inside! Whoa! Intense shades indeed!
The colors we got are True Red, Tea Rose and Angel Berry.
What I love...
- Intense pigmentation. Seriously.
- Has moisturizing effect that doesn't dry out the lips
- Hello, SPF 15! Protect thy lips he kisses, I say!
- Doesn't wear off as easily
- Affordable at Php350 per tube
- Shades that are much more up my alley
What I don't...
- I wish it's easily available in stores.
- Packaging needs a little improvement if I compare them with my other Colour Collection lipstick cases.
- Have to keep it in a cool place, the lipstick can get a bit soft and touch the sides of the tube.. not a good thing to look at.
True Red, Angel Berry, Tea Rose
True Red reminds me of Snow White's red lips. Comparing it to my other red lipstick, True Red is probably my most forgiving one. It's pigmented yes, but not too out there as well. It's actually sheer and has an orange tint to it. It's like a level down NYX Round Lipstick in Eros. And very similar to Revlon's True Red.
NYX Eros, Maybelline Summer Sunset, MAC Russian Red, Revlon True Red, Color Intense True Red
Color is buildable and it's not a pain to remove. But will leave a slight tint to your lips.
Angel Berry is probably my most favorite because of how it reminds me of my favorite Cremesheen lipstick from MAC, Fanfare. It's a between that and NYX Spellbound. But Spellbound is a lot pinkier.
Color Intense Angel Berry, NYX Spellbound
Angel Berry is more on the pink-coral side and it looks really nice on fair skin tones. I love that it doesn't settle on the wrinkles on my lips and hides my dry chappy lips as well.
I recommend this shade A LOT!
Tea Rose is definitely one that can rival MAC Pink Nouveau, no kidding. Like they where long lost sisters. Can rival NYX Paris as well. Well, at least those are the shades I can compare it to in my collection. I very much dig lippies like these, as you know.
NYX Acapulco, MAC Nouveau, NYX Paris, Color Intense Tea Rose
If you wish to try pale pink lipsticks but refuse to spend more than Php350, then Tea Rose is really the best one for you! I would buy this in a heart beat if they didn't gifted it to us. And would buy this if I ran out! I actually slightly prefer this more than my MAC Pink Nouveau... and you know how attached I am to that one.
I have photos of me using the Color Intense Lipsticks to give you an idea what it could look like. :)
True Red
Angel Berry
Tea Rose
Don't they all look lovely? I really really like them.. A LOT!
Even a beauty addict like me can realize that these triumvirate of lipsticks can keep me off the lipstick bandwagon as this set can take me from day to night. It's non-drying, can last a long time and has SPF 15 to boot. So yes, this is definitely something that can sate me from my cravings for a while... Until when, that's one question I dare not answer... :)
