Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder in Porcelain Pearl
Another great collection from Bobbi Brown is hitting our counters this April.
Brightening Nudes Collection is here to give you that "lit from within" look. Composed of finishing powder compact, brightening lip gloss and sparkle eye shadow and Glitter lip gloss
If you're the type who goes for natural look but wants to up the ante, this is for you. It's a collection that enhances our look instead of dramatically changing them. It's a great finisher for all the look we want to create.
Let there be light!
What we've got here is the Asian addition to the Brightening Finishing Powder, Porcelain Pearl. This is only available here in Asia. it's a mix of sheer satin of green, yellow, pink, blue, purple, plus a light shimmery white compacted powders. It may remind you of Bobbi's famous shimmer bricks, but this is totally different.
Brightening FinPow is sheer in texture, the application gives a soft finish. No glimmer, shimmer, glittery or shiny effect that I was expecting. This sets any makeup look flawlessly. The mix of shades seems to cancel out my redness and made my pores a lot smaller.
Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder in Porcelain Pearl |
Brightening Finishing Powder in Porcelain Pearl clearly does fit our Asian skin. I remember my auntie having something similar this to cancel out what ever needed cancelling.
If I was the Shen that I was 5 years ago, I wouldn't know what to do with this. Makeup is like art, something, a mixture of shade will bring you the exact hint of glow satin finish that you need to complete your makeup look.
I just use a regular powder brush and swirl it on the compact and apply as I would a foundation powder. What I like about this palette is that it doesn't make me look pale at all.
If you hate how retouching with your compact face powder washes out you out, this is exactly what you need.
This particular product is quite a splurge and something I think most of you can live without. But if you're a serious beauty addict like me, I think you won't let this one pass. It's a great finishing powder that ladies with normal to dry skin will love!
As for me, this has recently replaced my face powder in my vanity kit. To reduce the look of dullness due to stress, harsh aircon in our office and tiring commute, this became a much better retouch powder for my skin. It gives me color without having to look too made up. And it does have that "lit from within" appearance.
So what do you think? Will you be adding this to your growing cosmetic collection?
Meet Rex, my sweet little royal. He's the sweetest among the pups that Duchess gave birth, too. And he seem to catch most attention from others. Unfortunately, he hurt one of his right toe and he's having a hard time healing it. I really am worried especially that majority of the day, I'm at work and could barely take care of him. It's a blessing that it's affecting his motor skills and his energy. He looks and acts as if he's not even injured. And when we visited his vet to have his wound treated, he was such a brave little soul. Sigh.... How did I get so lucky to have such adorable puppies?
I hope you wouldn't mind me asking... Please pray for the speedy recovery of my little grandpup.
Thanks very much!!
