FOTD and Short Product Reviews
Hello Everyone!
Is it really December?? How time flies! Next thing we know it's already January of 2011... Omygawd.. another year of growing old! I don't want to grow old. Hehehe! But honestly, I'm quite excited to end this year! I want to get own with some of my 2011 plans and make major changes. Really, I need a lot of that. Putting things into perspective, preparing for the future and finally making things happen. I want clean slate.
But for now, I'm enjoying being who I am now. I love that I still get to do the things that I do a few years back and one of those is blogging! Christmas is near and here in the Philippines, it's one of the biggest event ever. This year, I plan to make a simple offering to the birth of Christ. Not much parties and would just probably share this special moment with those I hold dear. What about you? What are your plans?
But I digress, here's my the products I used for my FOTD using the Beige and Blue Harmony of L'oreal Open Eyes. I gave short reviews about the products I used and hope you'll find them helpful. :)
Face:
This is really a good primer that sets your face for a flawless canvas. This is really a primer that evens out the surface of your face. Pores, wrinkles and fine lines are covered with this dimethicone base face primer. Remember to cleanse your face well with product that are known to unclog pores like Pond's Pure White.
Still the best foundation to date that I've tried despite the price attached to it. It's not harsh on the harsh, doesn't cause me to break out and it doesn't have a white cast on photographs. Rather I look doubly good on photos when using this foundation. There are many that are at par but somehow I am pretty much loving this foundation.
Revlon Matte Powder Blush in Blushing Berry
I've always loved matte blushes. This Revlon Matte Blush is not an exception. Blushing Berry provides a natural pink cheeks that compliments my skin tone very naturally. It goes with practically all makeup looks I do. Another thing, the brush that came with this blush compact is unusually soft. A pleasant surprise, if I may say so.
MAC Refined Gold Bronzing Powder:
Bronzers have been a staple part of my makeup routine ever sinece I learned how to contour the hollows of cheeks, my jawline and nose. Hardly did I ever go out without a bronzer shadowing my cheeks and minimizing my double chin. But aside from that, I love the sun kissed look a bronzer gives me especially when paired with a really nice blush. I find it flattering and forgiving especially on photos.
Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer for the Undereyes:
Dark undereyes can really mess up a whole makeup look, that's why I don't go out without a patting a little of Revlon Spa Concealer. It instantly brightens my eyes and reduces the look of less than 8 hours of sleep. I've been sing this for months now because of how easy it is to use and with the brush applicator, I don't contaminate the product. The shade 002 is really suited for my skintone. Gives an instant lift to my eyes and I look fabulous after it's applied.
More on the Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion:
Do I have to stress again how much I love this primer? This is the first primer that ever worked on my oily lids and kept my eye makeup looks in tact even at the wee hours at night. No matter the humidity my beautiful tropical country is having, my eye makeup look is a fresh as it was applied.
NYX Eye/Eyebrow Pencil in Sapphire:
I got this like two years ago but it still works like a charm. Staying power leaves a lot to be desired but I'm pretty satisfied with this. I love the pigmentation and it delivers the true color. This eye pencil is really like sapphire in color, it's amazing. :)
Revlon Brow Enhancer:
For a quick fix of brows, I gravitate to the Revlon Brow Enhancer. The pencil gives off just the right color even with a quite a heavy hand like mine. Since the pencil is made of wax, too, it sets my brows in place that it doesn't budge for a more polished look.
Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara:
One of the largest mascara wand I have in my stash, this one not only give enough length to my lashes but it reduces breakage as well. It's amazing what products they can come up with nowadays. I notice, too, that I have less lash fall out. And my lashes seem to be gropwing steadily on the outer parts.
Maybelline Impact Express Smooth felt liner:
One of the best innovation in makeup history. If you're a fan of wingtips on your makeup look, this is the tool for you. Amazing vibrancy and provides an undeniable straight application. This one is really for those who are learning how to apply eye liner like a pro. And it stays put the whole day!
Lips:
MAC Giddy
One of my very first MAC Pink lipstick, this one is very flattering especially for smokey eyes. It will definitely help pull your look together and not completely wash out your makeup look.
Thanks for visiting!!
much love,
Shen
