The Body Shop 2010 Winter Makeup Palette in Midnight
The Holidays is far from over for me because of my new The Body Shop Winter Trend 2010 Palette in Midnight. The Body Shop's Sparkling Winter Collection is making me go crazy because I am just crazy crazy over this whole collection. It is a Winter Wonderland... a stroll at Snow Queen's Palace.
But for now I lavish myself in the sparkly palette that is Midnight of TBS's Winter 2010 Collection.
Having the taste for anything shimmery, you can easily guess how much I love this palette. It is so me, right? Even with Christmas passing by so swiftly, I know I can make the best out of this palette throughout the rest of the year towards 2011. Though the whole collection may be a bit overwhelming and seem to be only appropriate for this season, it isn't so. For if you look on it, you'll see that each product in this collection is actually usable no matter how un-winter our weather or season is.
This Gold and Black palette is really something I wanted on my vanity table. :)
What's inside it sent my heart aflutter!
Aren't they lovely?
Starry Night is a deep black eyeshadow with silver glits that is just right for the festive season. The silver felcks though aren't as overwhelming as seen on the palette. I can never get tired of blacks with shimmer on them and I think I'd stick to them whenever I can.
Pink Light is a pale satin pink eyeshadow that has a purplish hue. This one instantly brightens the eyes especially when used as the main shade all over the eyelids. This will definitely makes your peepers look jolly.
Bronze Blaze is peach tone eyeshadow that will work well as a base or highlight to the brow bone. For a neutral look, apply this shade all over lid and darken with the crease to accentuate the eyes. But this one could work well alone.
Silver is a no nonsense silver that if partnered with Starry Night, you'll have a smokey eye look that will surely wow your friends when see them for that weekend night out. :) It's highly pigmented that your eyes will surely thank you for making it look so iridescent. :)
Lunar is probably my favorite as this cream highlighter works double duty as browbone highlighter and cheekbone highlighter. Apply Lunar the high planes of your cheekbones. If shimmer is a bit too much. Tame it down by applying a matte powder. :)
I'm very happy with this palette and would probably make an excuse to use to it even after the Holidays are over. The texture is smooth and the pigmentation are amazing. Although I would suggest to use a dense shader brush as it delivers the color better to the lids.
The Body Shop eyeshadows, due to the lack of harmful ingredients, have the same consistency as that of a pressed mineral eyeshadow and could get very chalky. Be patient with this and you'll be rewarded with a makeup look that last longer even without a primer.* And the fact that you can use this for foiling makes this palette a great 2011 investment. :)
