Pet Blessing at Eastwood City (It's a Doggie Day Out)
Last Sunday, me and the BF along with my cousins and friends went to Eastwood Mall for the Pet Blessing. October is the World Animal Day and there were many Pet Blessings happening all over Metro Manila.
I've had Duke for nearly 4 years already and Duchess, 3, while Chio, 2. And this was the only time we've had a chance to have them blessed and baptized. We went to Eastwood at 3 o'clock in the afternoon after the dogs got groomed and vaccinized. God blessed the rest of the afternoon without rain and we were thankful for that.
Come 5 o'clock, the mass started and after that the pet blessing commenced. We were touched by the Pet owner's pledge and so was the blessing by the priest on each dog.
I can't say enough how much my dogs has made my life happier and I'm thankful that with each and everyday I get to spend time with them. They were such a therapy after losing my mom. I really treat them all like my children. I try to give them the best I could because I don't think I can ever repay them for the happiness they're giving me.
Here are some photos I took with my Nikon D5000 with Prime Lens 35mm f1.8. :)

There were a lot of dogs that day. All of the dogs look so adorable. This one for example.

King looking so adorable. :)
The day was very tiring because of how playful the dogs can get but it was extremely fun. I've never seen so many dogs in my entire life (not including pet shops). The owners who went there clearly are fanatis over their pets. It was great seeing people havering the same devotions as we do for our pets.
R and I plan to do this every year or whenever Eastwood has another Pet Blessing event. I think I should attend more events that involves my pet. After all, they are one big part of my life. :)
How about you? Do you have your dog or any other pet? Have you had them blessed or baptized? :)
