When I saw the new catalog of Ellana Mineral Cosmetics, I knew I must have their new Finishing Powders. It's great addi(c)tion to their 3 formulas of Translucent, Oil-absorbing and Sheer Velvet. Now, we have more choices that would best suit our skintone and skintype. Or simply just to play around with.

Silk Glow, ellana says, is a new series of illuminating, sheer powder that is used for highlighting, contouring and adding depth to the face.

I was able to get my hands on 3 of the new Silk Glow Powders in Pumkin Pie Latte, Butter Rum Coffee, and Coffee Martini. The colors to my satisfication are versatile. It makes true to its promise to give that subtle glow that will enhance your features when properly applied.

The Pumkin Pie Latte as an all-over powder best suits my yellow-tone skin as it doesn't make it look wash out and shiny. The Butter Rum Coffee when applied right on the place above my cheekbones and sides of the temples highlights and lifts my face superbly. The Coffee Martini is a great contouring powder for everyday look without making me look to bronzy but still cuts my round-face shape to give the thin-effect.

The trick as always is less is more. Just use the simple application of dipping the end of your brushes to get small amount of the product. Sweep on the part you like to enhance.Then, gently blend for the desired even skin look.
